Hello Cherryville!
 
It is club meeting week again!  That's right, our March meeting is tomorrow night, and we have some important items on the agenda.  Number 1 priority is finalizing the hamfest operations.  This is our ONLY fund raising event and is ESSENTIAL to the club's well being.  Setup for the hamfest will be on Friday March 16.  We need people at the trailer with pickup trucks and/or vans to load our materials and equipment at 4:30 pm.  Setup will begin after 5:00 PM at North Hunterdon High School's cafeteria.  All members are expected to participate in this effort.  We will also need help with all jobs on Saturday March 17.  We particularly need people for food sales.  This will be discussed in detail at tomorrow's meeting, so please plan to be present.
 
Following tomorrow's meeting, Glenn (AC2BH) and I will have a brief presentation on hamfest shopping tips.
 
Elections of officers will take place at the April meeting.  Tom, NU2W, is heading the election committee.  If you wish to run for office, contact Tom and let him know what position you are interested in running for and he will get you on the ballot.  This must be done before the end of tomorrow's meeting as the ballot will be closed at that time so it can be printed and mailed to our members in time for them to vote and return it by the April meeting.  Remember, in order to for your vote to count in the election, you must have your 2012 dues paid up by the start of the April meeting.  
 
I am working on getting presenters for our April, May, and June meetings.  If you have suggestions of topics or specific people you would like to hear present, please e-mail me at ka2oee at yahoo.com.  I am hoping to have a program on Field Day operation at the June meeting, and other topics at April and May.  Let me know what you want to see and I will try to arrange it.
 
Community service support will begin with the March of Dimes walk.  Contact Glenn, AC2BH for further information or to volunteer.  We are also committed to Skylands Triathalon and the Lebanon July 4 parade.  Please put these events on your calendar now and save the date!
 
Hope to see as many members out at tomorrow's meeting as possible.  Every member's contribution to the hamfest is important, so come out tomorrow and help us get the preparations done so we can be successful!
