[W2CRA] Club Meeting Update for February

Hello Cherryville!
 
We have a great program planned for our February meeting!  
 
Dee Interdonato, the AMSAT representative for our part of NJ will attend our meeting and present a program introducing amateur satellite communication and the AMSAT program for new satellite launches in the relatively near future.  This is an interesting operating mode that has gotten easier with the advent of FM transponders and dual/multi band radios and handheld antennas.  
 
This should prove to be an exciting program and I hope that the membership will turn out and show support for Dee.  We will also be taking your names for Hamfest 2012 signups, so please make it a point to think about what services you would like to provide the club on March 17.  If we don't have volunteers, we will assign people to tasks, so if you have a preference, please volunteer for a job you want!  Everyone's help is needed to make CRA Hamfest 2012 a financial success, so please step forward.  More money in the club treasury means we can address more of the issues we are encountering with the repeaters, do more fun projects and events like the picnic and holiday party, and more.
