You can Google "sound card packet" to get lots of hits.  One that looks 
attractive is

http://www.soundcardpacket.org/

which is for the AWGPE program which is free.

I use the program MixW which includes Packet as a mode.  It is not free 
however.

I would recommend using a audio transformer (600:600 ohms) between your 
receiver and sound card input for ground isolation.  (Some people use a 
8:1K transformer, but that gives a higher signal level into the sound card)
