[W2CRA] Canal Ride, Sunday, October 9, 2011

The Canal Ride has been rescheduled to Sunday, October 9, 2011.  Because of all the hurricane damage, they are running the Six Mile section twice.  This means the stations needed are Net Control and 4 stations on Trail.  The ride will start about 9 am so all stations should arrive by 8:30am at the Blackwells Mills Ranger Station to check in with Tony W2HWW.  Horses are usually off the trail by 2-2:30

In speaking to people at the Triathalon, I have the following line-up.  If you can't make it, please let me know.

Relief:  Need a volunteer(s).  Since the shifts are longer this year, if someone can take over different positions to give operators a break, that would be helpful.

Jacques Lane:  Only 1 of the 2 need to report in unless there is a problem.  Traffic is an issue as the riders are on the road so in some cases you may have a rider wait if traffic is moving fast.  Jessica can give more guidance the day of the ride.  I don't think we were stopping traffic for the riders like we did at the corner and the bridge.
