CRA Membership

 

BRANCHBURG runs a Country FAir annual event for the township. I would like
to extend an offer to the CRA membership to assist the BB OEM team during
this event. It is a resource intensive event running for 12 hrs. the
important operational periods are at the open and the close. It is then that
I need the most support. See below details and come join us. I can offer you
a great day with the general public, oem/races/ares peers, public safety
agencies and lots of food. This is a localized park event so all you need is
an HT, batts, RACES/ARES credentials and a smile. I will supply the rest. WE
rotate all assignments throughout the day so no one gets bored and so relief
is there when you need a break. If you have a bike, bring it for rolling
support activities. Since this is a large/long event in a sister
community/county I am going to petition the CRA Exec Board to ok accruing
service time from this event to be added to your annual totals.

 

PLEASE RSVP NOW...you won't be disappointed in the day...Even if you can
only give a piece.

 

DETAILS---

We are needed from 9am(promptly) setup until a few minutes after the
fireworks/DARK.  We need a good turnout to comfortably cover our
responsibilities, provide breaks, and ensure that our fellow team members
have a chance to enjoy the fair.  It's always our most visible event, and
our best demonstration of technology and teamwork.  Please let me know your
availability. NO ONE goes hungry on my watch so you will be very well cared
for ALL day...YES ALL DAY! starting at 9am thru close.

The Fair is Saturday 9/17 (rain date 9/18) 11am to dark/fireworks. 

Duties include (but nit limited to):

- MCC setup and demo.

- Communications support.

- Gate control and access.

- Parking assistance for vendors, special displays, handicapped.

- Pedestrian safety as needed.
