Just a quick reminder of the October club meeting tomorrow night.  We have a couple of things on the agenda to address right away.  We need a volunteer to chair the December Awards Banquet/Holiday Gathering and another volunteer to act as the 2012 Hamfest chair person.  These are not as big as they sound.  We already have people who have volunteered to assist with kitchen, food coordination, hall setup and clean up, etc.  We just need one of you to step up and coordinate our efforts.  For the Hamfest, the whole club will be working, we just need someone to hold the chair position to assure that we all do what we volunteer to do!  Hope someone will step forward to handle these two important tasks!
 
Also on our agenda for this month is K2BC Barry Campbell's presentation on construction of a simple J-Pole antenna.  Barry's presentation was quite interesting last time, and he will be updating us on this fun and interesting way to homebrew your own inexpensive VHF antenna.  Hope everyone will come out and enjoy Barry's presentation!
 
Our November meeting will have a presentation by Glenn, AC2BH on another homebrew topic.  Please put that on your calendar too.  
 
One more reminder.  Dues for 2012 are due for all members at the January meeting.  Be sure to bring your check book and "see the treasurer".  Just remember, if you are not paid up to date by the start of the April meeting, you will not be eligible to vote in the 2012 election.  Don't miss your opportunity to cast a vote.  Speaking of votes, all positions are up for election this year.  We are seeking candidates for President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and 3 Members At Large.  Interested in making your voice heard?  Run for office!  We will begin accepting nomination for officers at the January meeting, so think seriously about how you would like to contribute to the club.
