Hello CRA!
 
It is once more the time of the month to think about our Friday night club meeting!  This month's meeting (11/11/11 at 7:30 PM at Flemington Baptist Church auxiliary fellowship hall) will include a presentation on construction of a simple code practice oscillator by none other than our own Glenn, AC2BH!  This simple circuit is made breadboard style.  No circuit boards to worry about, just a simple piece of wood, some copper plated tacks as contact points, and a total parts list involving fewer than 10 components!
 
Looking for a way to practice or learn CW?  Here is your opportunity to get started!  Glenn has prepared a small number of parts kits that will be available for $5 each if you want to build one.  If you like this one, Glenn has another one up his sleeve for a future meeting.  Details of that one will follow later.  Hope you will make the extra effort to attend the club meeting this Friday night and join in the fun!
 
Also on our agenda for this month's meeting is to decide if we want to hold a dinner at our December meeting or not!  At last month's meeting we raised the issue that we need someone to coordinate the event and to be the head honcho in the kitchen.  So far, NOBODY has volunteered.  If we do not have volunteers step forward at Friday's meeting, we WILL NOT have the dinner, but will hold only a regular monthly meeting.  This is not a huge undertaking.  Someone needs to contact the members and coordinate the food donations.  Someone else needs to coordinate the kitchen and setup.  I know everyone enjoys this event, but SOMEONE needs to step forward to run the event.  We are not talking about putting together Field Day or the Hamfest.  Just our December dinner.  You aren't going to cook and serve the meal, just coordinate.  
 
Hope we have a couple of volunteers step forward at this month's meeting.
