[W2CRA] JP Case 5K Run Sunday 10/18 - race time 9:30am

To All,

 

I'm looking for 4 - 6 volunteers for the first annual JP Case 5K run on
Sunday October 18, 2009. Race time begins at 9:30am.  The race is for
students and adults and is a fund raiser for the school.

 

JP Case is the middle school (7th and 8th grades) in the Flemington-Raritan
school district. The school is located at the corner of Voorhees Corner Road
and Case Blvd, Flemington, NJ.

 

Here is the info I have:

 

Raritan Township Police, Fire dept. and EMS will be on-hand. I've been told
by my school contact that the course is to be closed to vehicle traffic
during the race.

 

Registration begins at 7:30am. There is a 1 mile fun run/walk on school
property starting at 8:30am. The 5K run starts at 9:30am. 

 

There are limited refreshments at the school for volunteers and limited
T-shirts, so I do not expect T-shirts for us this year. Maybe next year!

The school suggested we wear the same color T-shirt if possible.  How about
the 2009 Skylands Triathlon T-shirt if you have one, or another bright
yellow-orange T-shirt?

 

The course will go out 1.5 miles from the school and return via the same
route:

 

Starting on Case Blvd to Woodside Lane to Marshall Drive to Buchannan Way to
Stryker Road to Barley Sheaf Road to Garden Place to Estella Drive to Molly
Bee Road to Samuel Drive. Samuel loops back to Estella where the runners
reverse course back to JP Case.

course to you.

 

I plan to use the 147.375 repeater. 

 

I'll be at the school around 8am, and will handle net control with my son. I
would like the remainder of the volunteers to arrive around 8:30am if
possible in the event that the course is closed to vehicles.

 

I'll assign locations once I know how many volunteers I have.
