[W2CRA] Hamfest

We picked up another couple subscribers to the mail list over the weekend,
and that's good!

Just a reminder, and this will be a repeat for those who were at the meeting
on Friday, but we need to get the membership on board for THIS Saturday's
event. It's on the repeater now, it should be in all the newspapers this
week, but still we're way under the number of tables we usually have sold by
this time. I encourage everyone to talk to anyone they know who might want
to be a vendor at the hamfest. We're working hard to get buyers there, but
if we don't have the vendors, the buyers won't even come back next year.
When you're on the air, talk it up--both to buyers and vendor-wannabees. We
had some publicity problems in the beginning, particularly with the ARRL
connection, but that was solved in time, and now it's crunch time. If
someone wants to reserve a table, they can call Pete Sneed at 908-788-4080.

let's get lots more tables sold!
   While we're at it, we also need members both Friday afternoon and early
evening for setup, and we need lots of members for Saturday. Security still
has to be "personed" for  the day, and early cooks are also needed. When
touting the event, be sure to mention that Al Waller, the guy who gave us
qsl.net and qth.net (this server) will be a speaker at a 9:00 am. session,
and there will be Skywarn training at a 10:30 session. Lots of great stuff
at this year's event. Thanks in advance for getting behind the event!
