Hello All
Be advised that the Norton EOC has returned to normal Monitoring State meaning that it is not manned and Police, Fire and EMS
are able to keep up with call Volumes
Our Thanks to Drew Myer, Rick Sitte, John Silva and Ernie Klawitter for their quick response yesterday to Activate the EOC and
distribute Road Barricades. They also provided Road Guard coverage at several Downed Trees and Power Lines Locations, which freed up Police Cruisers and Fire Apparatus.for more important tasks. The Wind and Rain was ferocious and while they may have been sitting in their cars. They still had to get out and convince drivers that YES you really do need to turn around
At 9:30 this AM< it was decided to open a Regional Shelter in Attleboro at the Wamsutta Middle School 300 Locust Ave.
Rick manned the phones and did the Call ouit of Volunteers, Drew Picked up the Truck and Shelter Trailer and took it Attleboro.
Where we were met by Attleboro CERT Leader John Vitorino and Jacqui O'Brien of Norfolk/Bristol MRC We had more help that we need
The setup went quickly and many people were sent home to come back for later shifts and Sunday.
For those of you who want to help, we may need help Sunday, Sunday Night and possibly Monday.
Please send me an email with your availability.
I am running on cellphone and a laptop with a AirCard for Internet as I have nothing at home except what I can power on my Generator.
Thank you for all you do
