Hello All
For those who have signed up already Thank You very much.
For those of you who haven't and would like to please let me know via email ASAP so we can finish the Team assignments.
The schedule for the event is as follows
NEMA COmmand Staff Planning meeting for Command Staff whether you will be at the event or not
This Wednesday June 13 th at 7pm at NFD  HQ classroom

Saturday June 16th Set up will start at 1PM, Kris Maciejko  will be starting early because he has to work
If any body wants to volunteer extra time for the event you are welcome to join us for set up.

EMAs that are bringing equipment are asked to report between 4PM and 4:15 to the ICP for assignments.
Radios should be on UTac1 Direct or UTac 41D whichever numbering scheme your radio uses.

All other Volunteers should report at 4:30 to the Incident Command Post for assignment.
Volunteer parking will be located along the left side of the H A Yelle School. You should be instructed to park either nose or tail into the fence, no parallel parking.

You should report to the Incident Command Post Trailer where you will sign in, receive your assignment sheet that tells who all the players are, the Misision planning overview with specific Sector Tasks as well as a Sector Map of the event.

Most Communications will be by radio. EMAS will operate in Public Safety UHF UTac CH 1.
Hams will operate on 147.42 Direct no tone. All others and the Parks Committee   Will be on FRS CH4.
If you have a radio, bring it, if not we will have extras.

The uniform of the day will be HiViz vests, baseball cap, dark pants or shorts and comfortable shoes.
You should also bring a lawn chair to rest and watch the fireworks. You will need a flashlight with a traffic wand for directing traffic. If anybody does not have the equipment we will have extras on hand that you can borrow for the event. If you have ID Badges please wear them. You may also want to bring your work gloves with you as there will be a lot of equipment around.

We will provide water, soda and snacks for breaks  as well as provide provide pizza for supper which will be about 7:30PM. If you can't eat pizza, We will have meal tickets for the Hot Dog Truck.

The fireworks will go off about 9:10 finish at 9:30 and the mass exodus begins.
For those of you not involved in directing traffic we would ask that you lend a hand in packing up the
First Aid/Info booth and command post as well as learn how to operate the light towers/power plant and generators and retrieve the power cords and return them to the Incident support trailer.

This is a large scale planned event with about 3,000 people anticipated. It is an excellent training exercise for EMA/CERT Volunteers, don't be afraid to dig in, ask questions and learn.
