Subject: Positions still open for the Run of the Charles, April 26
To: Ray Cord <raycord at aol.com>
Dear Ray,
This year’s Run of the Charles is coming up soon on Sunday, April 24, and we still need several amateur radio volunteers to help fill out the roster and make sure we can provide full coverage for the event. There’s a lot to recommend this event especially. The assignments are scenic, with most at portages along the Charles River. Several of them are T-accessible, and start at later times than the usual early morning races. And while we don’t exactly wish for it, the odds are good that you’ll see a few folks take a dip in the water. In all seriousness, it’s a lot of fun.
If you can help us out, please get back to me soon. I’ll make sure we have all your information. Just let me know if there’s anything I should consider when making your assignment. Of course, if you have questions about the run, please get in touch by e-mail or phone (859) 466 5915.
Thank you, and 73,
--
