THE GOVERNOR’S PROCLAMATIONExtracting from a portion of the Governor’s Proclamation:“Whereas Massachusetts amateur radio operators will hone their skillsby participating in the twenty-four hour simulated emergency known as‘Field Day’ on June 27th and 28th, Now, Therefore, I, Charles D. Baker, Governor of the Commonwealth ofMassachusetts, do hereby proclaim the weekend of June 27th and June28th, 2015 to be,                             AMATEUR RADIO WEEKENDAnd urge all the citizens of the Commonwealth to take cognizance ofthis event and participate fittingly in its observance”.THE SENATE RESOLUTIONSThe Massachusetts Senate on June 22, 2015 adopted RESOLUTIONS“CELEBRATING THE NATIONAL AMATEUR RADIO FIELD DAY OF THE AMERICANRADIO RELAY LEAGUE”.Extracting from a portion the Senate Resolutions:“WHEREAS, THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS HAS APPROXIMATELY 13,000AMATEUR RADIO OPERATORS THAT DEDICATE THEIR TIME, EQUIPMENT, ANDKNOWLEDGE TO ASSIST THEIR COMMUNITIES”“NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT THE MASSACHUSETTS SENATE JOINS INCELEBRATING THE AMERICAN RADIO RELAY LEAGUE’S NATIONAL AMATEUR RADIOFIELD DAY;”Eastern Massachusetts ARRL State Government Liaison (SGL), Hank McCarl, W4RIG of Gloucester accepted the documents from Senate MinorityLeader Bruce E. Tarr (R-Gloucester). Hank then presented the documentsto Tom Walsh, K1TW, ARRL Section Manager for Eastern Massachusetts. Copies of the documents were also mailed to Ed Emco, W1KT, ARRL SectionManager of Western Massachusetts.
