[W1SMH] Note about EchoLink and routers

Besides the Echolink site, another useful site for information on
configuring routers is http://www.portforward.com. This site lists many
routers and how to figure your way through their configurations!

Also, it is quite probable that if you use a firewall such as Zonealarm,
you'll have to reduce it's protection level to medium, in order for Echolink
to be able to communicate. Nine out of ten problems getting echolink to work
are related to firewall and router issues. If you can see a station list,
but cannot connect without a timeout error, one of these two sources are the
problem.

On another note, I am relocating to Merrimack, New Hampshire, (after several
months of searching though the snow to find suitable habitation!) but you
can find me on Echolink on Saturday nights at 0000UTC (1900EST,2000EDT) in
the WX-TALK conference, where we have the weekly Hurricane and Severe
Weather Preparedness Net. We've recently had check-ins from Canada,
Australia, India, Japan, and several from the Carribean.

My home Echolink node number is 49395, and I'll try and keep in touch (maybe
check in to the net!)
