Spring update on KB5TBB/R:

Just in time for spring, I have connected the repeater to the Internet
"EchoLink" system.

What does this mean?

It means that from any Internet connection, with the proper EchoLink
software, you may use the repeater remotely. Visit the EchoLink website at
http://www.echolink.org and download the free Windows software.

How was this accomplished?

Using an Alinco DR-130 mobile, a RigBlaster NOMIC, a PC, and my high-speed
Internet connect at home, I have established a remote link to the repeater.
Essentially, you as an EchoLink user would be operating the repeater via my
home station.

Is this connection permanent?

The EchoLink and KB5TBB/R connection is in test mode. I am only allowing
callsigns of those who have requested access from me to use the Internet
link. If you would like to use or test your EchoLink setup through the
repeater, I encourage you to do so. Please send me an email confirming
you'd like access and I'll make it happen quickly.

At this time I do not want to make connections to EchoLink Link, Conference,
or other Repeaters. After further testing, I might change this policy.

If you have questions, feel free to comment here on the mailing list
directly as I would like to keep the discussion in an open forum.
