Hi Gang,

I am sending this out to the entire group because it
may be of interest to those not participating with the
EMCOM committee.

I followed up on Marty's email from 2 weeks ago
regading the Red Cross Net on 80 meters on the first
Wednesday of the month.

I finally managed to join the reflector by sending an
email to [email protected]. [email protected] was also
supposed to work as a contact for the reflector as I
mentioned on the EMCOM net.  Anyway, an email to K1ARC
did the trick.  Attached is the welcoming email from
the reflector - no others thus far.

To join the reflector send an email as above.

The net went well with participants form New Jersey to
New Hampshire.  The first get together emphasized the
need for "more than local emergency communications
capabilities". - thus 80 meters.

Net is First Wednesday @ 8 pm Eastern time on 3917.0
+/-  5kc.  Net Control is Will - WB1DMK.
