[Vintage-Audio] Military Engineering?

Hi All,

First, a most blessed, healthy and happy new year to one and all!

I have a fully rebuilt H.H. Scott LK-72B stereo amplifier. It is from circa
1962-1964. It seems to have a lot of military style engineering in its
design. The components are far more rugged then typically used in such
equipment. Even the RMS output is rated about 35% low.

Is this because H.H. Scott had a number of former military design engineers
employed or?

Their gear certainly is well thought out and built solid!
