Well, W9RAN, my timeworn yet timeless compatriot of this solar cycle and
others before it, Bob Nickels is a fabulous person and if you pay a nickel
for his thoughts, you won't get shortchanged!
Bob. What ever happened to your project of converting some of the vintage
vinyl you were power washing the dust off to CD's? At least that is what I
think you were going to do as soon as you got your turntable out of
retirement and loosened up with some spray stuff that reduces friction,
removes rust and makes ball bearings round once again. Or did somebody stick
a 'needle' in your dreams and cause that 'Yellow Balloon' to do the
"Hucklebuck" and make you "Turn Your Radio On", get "Another Cup Of Coffee"
and spend the night "Endlessly" in a "Kansas City" steak house?
I need somebody with the talent and hardware to convert some VHS tapes into
DVD's. Some is commercial video I paid a video photographer to film live as
I performed. Some is VHS video that I taped off the TV from either a news
slot I had or from a special TV program that had me featured etc. The rest
are VHS video segments taken by various people of different performances
etc.
I am willing to pay whomever does the conversion for their time, supplies,
shipping etc.
Now, if any of you are interested in procuring some of the vinyl albums that
I have personally remastered to CD, please contact me direct for a list. I
also have forty CD's, containing 890 songs, that I remastered from new
reissued original 45 rpm singles. None of these songs are remastered -
converted to stereo - rerecorded by the Artist ten years after the original
release etc. I also have a three CD collection of "just" instramental hits
from 1956-1976 aprox. Every once in a while I did slip in a hit that was
from the eighties or even the nineties!
If you are interested in some vintage audio equipment, contact me with what
you desire.
I even have some top of the line Sony video equipment that needs a new home.
I bought all of it new.
Thanks!
