         Hi Duane:

My experience with vhs to dvd decks is very limited. I have
a client who is not very technically adept, and he brought one in,
without the manual, and we spent a lot of time trying to persuade it
not to record the dvd onto his vhs tape! fortunately it was punched
out. My dislike of any kind of combination machines goes back about
sixty years, when people bought 12 inch television sets with built in
am-fm radios and record changers, and I had to repair them.

         Cheers
                 Charlie Fox
