[Vintage-Audio] Help With Gold Conversion

I realize this is totally off topic, but I am now desperate.

Hours with the main library here have failed to give me the answer that I
need.

I want the conversion that calculates the value of the Gold in an 18K ring.
I also need it for 10K and 14K.

What I have is this: For a 14K object. Multiply the current Troy ounce price
of one ounce of Gold by .0082. Multiply the result times the total grams in
the 14K object. The result is what the object is worth based on the current
ounce price of Gold.

I do 'not' know the multiplier? for either 10K or 18K. If one of you can
help me, please answer me off list. Thank you!

The confusion happens because a Carat in jewelry has nothing to do with a
Karat in Gold! When a ring is of 18K Gold, it is 75% Gold. If it is 24K, it
is 100% Gold. Gold is a prescious metal, so it uses the Troy weight scale,
not the standard one. Hence, there are only 12 ounces in a Troy pound.

So I think what I need, is the way to convert a 14K Gold ring that weighs 8
grams into how much the Gold in said ring is worth. Then I also need to know
how to convert this 14K Gold ring weighing 8 grams into just what the Gold
in the ring weighs.

Thank you to anyone who can help me! This is 'not' one of my infamous April
Fools items, this is serious.
