[Vintage-Audio] Nashville "Country Moog"

Michael,

I am afraid that tape is probably forever lost. Unfortunately.

I have some recordings you might enjoy Michael, they are by a group called
the Mystic Mood Orchestra. Two of the more popular albums were "One Stormy
Night" and "Night Tide". Definitely mood music, or sometimes also known as
'make out music'!

I have the original vinyl, naturally. (chuckle). However, many of this
groups recordings were put on CDS after their original release in the late
sixties. A girl who worked for me told me about them, i asked if they were
by The Mystic Mood Orchestra? She said she thought they were, she found them
at the main library and listened to them there. I did some investigating and
found them on CD in 1992. I have eight recordings in all.

So Michael, if you like music set to the live recorded sounds of an
approaching thunderstorm, the storm with lightning and thunder and the rain
fading into sunshine then you will love "One Stormy Night"! The tempo of
each musical selection, all instrumental, is equal to the tempo of the storm
activity level. Way cool!

Then we have "Night Tide", which is set to the sounds of the ocean. Waves
crashing onto the shore, sea gulls, the rhythm of the tides etc. A nice day
on the white sands of the ocean shore fades into twilight. The opening song
is "A Summer Place" and you can close your eyes and almost feel the water
licking at your bare toes.

One selection on the "One Stormy Night" album involves a steam locomotive
trying to climb an incline during the storm. You can hear it coming in the
right channel, the wheels slipping, the train whistle warning of its
approach etc. Then the engine drives right through the room and slowly fades
off into the distance on the left channel. Wild!

How real does it sound? Well one evening my girlfriend and I were listening
to it in my room and my Father came in and told me to close the windows as
it was starting to storm outside! It was dark and he was serious. Well, at
least he seemed serious! (LOL!) I guarantee it will make your woofers earn
their keep!

This can get rather romantic in spots Michael, play at your own risk!
Diapers not included!
