Hi All,
You may recall that I discovered an original recording done in 1906 by the
Marconi Company owned by Guglielmo Marconi. The artist is playing a banjo
and it is an instrumental solo of an Irish ballad. The album jacket is
looking somewhat the worse for the wear, but the actual record appears to be
in good condition.
I am curious as to whether or not this truly vintage album would have any
value, if so, any guesses as to ho wmuch?
I do know that Thomas A. Edison 'borrowed' the technology in 1912 and used
it on his recordings for the Edison Reproducer. How true, I do not know.
Is this 1906 record collectable, a piece of important history or just a nice
conversation piece?
Thanks.
