[Vintage-Audio] fm antenna

I'm sure this subject has come up, so you'll forgive me for the
redundancy. I'm looking to improve my FM reception but I don't have
access to the roof. (Technically I do, but it's a very steep roof and
the house sits on the apex of a hill, so if I fell it would be like an
80-foot drop). I have some freebie fm dipoles and some rabbit ears left
over from TV sets and none provide what I condider to be a reasonable
proposition, clear stereo reception of a 100kw station 35 miles away.
Reception of the station in question on my Sony 2010 is pegged, 10/10,
but my various multigang hifi tuners can't quite cut it. Also the 2010
only does FM in mono, therefore not having to receive two signals, so
maybe I'm not being fair to my hifi equipment.
Can anyone recommend a good indoor scheme for me? I can mount something
outside of the house. I have even considered those antennas you can
attach to your satellite dish, as it is on the side of the house and
relatively easy to access. I have an attic as well, although getting the
wire to the living room might prove daunting as the silly previous
owners of the house used that loose fill insulation, so it's nearly
impossible to monkey with wiring up there.
Any suggestions?
Thanks a lot!
Michael
