Yo Bob,

Rock on Duane? Not I son, the son-in-law does the guitar picking in this
family. However, my oldest grandson, Brandon who is now going on fifteen, is
taking lessons. He explained some techniques to his instrument playing
illeterate Grandfather several weeks ago. I knew just enough to know that he
knew of what he spoke! Beyond that, I kept mouth shut, foot in sock and just
smiled and grinned a lot!

Steve says that Fender was bought by somebody, maybe CBS? They made several
new models which did not do well. They returned to the Concert series and
business started to improve.

I think he paid $500 for the Fender amp, accessories and guitar.

Thanks for your input Robert, you are a man of many talents and much
diversity. Remind me of myself, truthfully. Now I realize that sounds
egotistical as heck, but it is not intended to be. i do have many gifts and
talents, but playing an instrument or singing in key are not among them! The
other one is artistic drawing. I had to use text labels with a small arrow
aimed at the object. "girl >", "dog>" or "cloud>" etc.! Yet I could
visualize an item in my mind's eye' and go build it or visualize in my
mind's eye how a picture would look hung on different walls of a room
without ever really doing it. Interesting how high creativity, abstract
reasoning, high imaginative powers and color perception are not necessarily
related to the artistic talent.

I was, and am, able to use those skills in the literary field or for
detailed instructional scripts.

Do you play an instrument Robert? I have this vision of you in the late
sixties with a beard, long hair, mirrored shades, one gold earring, funkey
psychodelic painted t-shirt and radical bermuda shorts with some creative
touches of your own, some thong sandals on your bare feet with bloodshot
eyes and a smile that indicated you had found the 'Twilight zone'! (LOLL!)
About that time I was trying to think of something to prevent me from
falling asleep in Eli Labner's Philosophy class! He was a living poster dude
for how the Cartesian Circle really works! I had two college instructors who
had the ability to take a potentially fascinating topic and turn it into
something so dull that you could not part water with it!

Did you package arrive safe and sound Bob? this may be on the list, having
trouble figuring out the screens on XP with the new OS and new screen
reading package. I was only five or six years behind! hey, it worked great,
so why mess with it!
