Hi All,
I purchased a sealed copy of Floyd Cramer's "Class Of 1970" When it arrived I
noticed it was one of those ultra thin flimsy vinyl records. They did not make
that in 1970 as far as I recall, more like four or five years later.
This is a reissue. Which would be fine, but it is damaged. The first song on
both sides has all sorts of noise leading into it. If the album were not sealed,
I would have thought it was from having been played a lot! One song has a defect
fifteen seconds from the end that causes the stylus to behave as if it had
encountered a scratch. i have cleaned this record four times to be certain a
human hair was not in, or on, the grooves. Hard to see, even when you can see!.
If one of you finds another copy of this album, I am interested in buying it.
Not for $26 as one I noticed for sale though! This is an 'ok' album, it is not
rare, highly sought after or collectable.
The seller of the way over priced vinyl is Banana Music, by the way.
Thanks for your assistance.
