My error!  It was a 1958 (I have 1968 on my mind because I've been spending
much of my time recently working on my 1968 Corvette), and a convertible to
boot.

It was common back then to see the Oldsmobiles with air-suspension flat on
the ground.  A proper fix was expensive, but one could just get in, start
the engine and wait a few minutes for the pump to fill the bladders . . . if
they were not leaking too badly.
