Cross talk is a non-issue. I have NEVER heard any crosstalk on a properly
aligned 4 track stereo deck. Signal to noise is the main parameter and I
think the number is more like a 4+ dB improvement. Going to 15 ips will give
you better frequency response and better noise especially at the high end as
it has less equalization.
