Speaking of recording from vinyl...
I'd really be interested in knowing how people on this list are doing =
what you say, Duane, recording records for posterity and regular =
listening. I can imagine the signal path in your rig containing some =
interesting components. I am particularly interested in the turntable =
and cartridge combos, since that is the weak link in my own signal path =
at the moment.
I seem to recall this coming up on the list before, and apologize for =
forgetting it all!=20

Subject: [Vintage-Audio] Re Revox B77 Recording
=09
Hi All, =09
=09
The pause button on the Revox B77 only works while depressed, a function =
I do
not like. Apparently the wired remote, which I do not have, allows for
continuous pause. Ths really complicates recording from vinyl! =09
=09
I have also noticed that with the monitor switch in the 'source' =
position, I can
set the record level knobs. I do not have to have previous pressed the =
'record'
button and so forth.=09
=09
I have determined the way one records is to press the record and play =
buttons at
the same time. I had hoped that pressing the record button would put it =
in a
pause/record mode and then I could start the recording by pressing the =
play
button. No such luck. =09
=09
Am I missing something here in how to record with the Revox B77? =09
=09
Thanks. =09
