Nobody commented as to whether this run of magnetic tape was among those that
gummed up the heads on tape decks some years back. If so, it is donated to the
trash can.

Regarding the comment on the tape being so thin that it stretched and why would
anybody want to use it, my cousin has used ten inch reels of 3600 foot studio
quality tape by Maxell and Ampex for nearly thirty years with a Tanburg 10X and
Revox B77 tape deck. The only breakage occured ten years back when a Maxell tape
somehow got crooked and became wrinkled, snagged and snapped. Now he is a
'serious' audio guy, and uses the machines on a regular basis. Hence, I have to
question the accuracey of the comments about the tape stretching and so forth.
While I agree this is an issue with cheap tape and decks with poor transport and
braking systems, it does not appear to be an issue with the high end models.

Thank you for your assistance.
