Great, please do correct what I wrote.  Not wanting to offend the 
sensibilities of those far more expert than I was why I wanted to reply 
only to Duane, but got snagged by the 'reply-to' (THANKS, Duane!). 
That's also why I made it clear that some of what I wrote was conjecture 
due to lack of specifications and limits of memory.

So please do share a better explanation of the subject, and be sure to 
include the specs for the tape loop input on Duane's H.H. Scott LK-72B.
