[PARC] Tour For Kids, 3-day cycling event, repeater use

This event is starts early Friday morning.
I'm sure the Friday PL net users will accommodate  the users.
As noted below:

Usage would be from 7am (talk-in) until 5pm (or when the last cyclist finishes)
We do not need exclusive access, but request priority for all communications.

Request for repeater use Aug.16-18, (Friday, Saturday,and Sunday)


  Tour For Kids is an annual 3-day cycling event to raise money for kids cancer camps.
This year it is returning to the Peterborough area and runs from August 16 to 18.
Day 1 around Rice Lake, Day 2 around Stoney Lake, and Day 3 around Pigeon Lake

Could you provide suggestions on which repeater(s) we could use each day, and permission or
contact info for each?

Hello John

         Three repeaters in the area that should work for you are:

     
     VE3KFR 145.330 MHZ, -.600 MHz,  tone 162.2, Allstar node 42620 , the
     Campbelford repeater

           located at the 41.8 km point of the Day 1 100 km route.
     Contact Brian Redden, ve3hqr.

         VE3BUY 146.895 MHz, -.600 MHz,  tone 162.2, Allstar node 28702 at
     same site as VE3RTR.

     
     VE3TJR  147.045 MHz, +.600 MHz, tone 162.2, stand alone repeater,
     located  on a 200 ft tower

            at the end of Old School Rd and the end of Fire Route 41 on
     Deer Bay, 2.1 km from

            the 70.3 km point of the Day 2 100 Km route.

     
     VE3BUY and VE3TJR  are PARC repeaters and are available for the
     event.

     
     VE3PBO  is not available. It is off the air as there is work being
     done on the water tank.

What do you need, people with cars to follow along, spotters.

Yes, we can use people with or without cars.
Those without cars can ride along with other vehicles such as medics, or be placed at important
locations and be picked up afterwards.
Those with cars could also do the above, plus drive the route looking for trouble.
The organizers will pay for all gas/diesel, will provide all meals, and dorm accommodations for
those from out of town.
We also could use home station net control(s), who know the area, know the repeaters, has
internet and phone.
