dave' ve3sd called the meeting to order. following introductions, devon,
ve3dev read november's minutes.

 

barry, ve3blm presented the treasurer's report. petty cash: $145.63. gic:
$845.87. parc: $2,253.24.

 

activities. paul kbi told us that the proposed tailgate party won't come off
unless we have 8 volunteers. he asked anyone who has bought anything from dx
engineering or radio world to send either paul or rick an e-mail so that
perhaps we might get promotional material from those businesses. both bill
mew, and john, nw volunteered.

 

dave sd told us that winter field day will be held during  the last weekend
in january, probably at trent university.

 

technical. rick said that after our first snowfall, the plough cut the
cable. it was replaced, but will have to be buried in the spring.

 

harman, ema said that he had no new information to report from our web site,
but he reminded us that the next meeting will be on january 8.

 

new business. ,dave sd said that a wires x node will definitely be installed
on the va3pbo repeater. he explained that it will open a whole new dimension
in digital radio. paul kbi and barry bb moved and seconded that we allow
$250 for expenses connected with the wires x node. carried.

 

jerry, jlw moved that we purchase a 2-metre radio that runs on fusion, and
present it as a gift to the chief of the selwyn township fire department
with thanks for letting us install our repeater there, and that we provide
course material for anyone who might want to take the course. the cost of
the new repeater will be about $600.  barry, bb seconded. carried.

 

dave sd reported that he, randy, paul, and rick came to the conclusion that
pbo and apl should be separated from the kawartha repeater group from 7 pm
to 6 am each day. dave recommended that the change come into effect in two
weeks' time, and that notice be put on facebook' the e-mail list, and rick's
separate e-mail list. it was moved by mark hmp and seconded by ---. the
motion was passed unanimously by the 25 people present.

 

mark hmp and bob rvz moved for adjournment at 8:28.
