[PARC] PARC minutes, October, 2017

Dave, VE3SD called the meeting to order at 7:34.  Following introductions,
Devon DEV read September's minutes.  Approval was moved by Bob, IEL and
seconded by Theresa TZM.  Carried.

 

Barry, VE3BLM presented the treasurer's report.  Petty Cash: $234.28.  GIC:
$844.24.  PARC: $3,348.14.  The revised September bank balance is $3,413.73.

 

Activities.  Barry BLM said that the Head of The Trent regatta turned out
very well.  We received a donation of $254.

 

Dave, SD announced that the Scouts' Jamboree on The Air will take place on
October 21.  More details will be forthcoming.

 

John, NW said that the Tri-county Fox Hunt will take place the weekend after
Thanksgiving.

 

Len, LRM reminded us that the Rally of The Tall Pines is scheduled for
November 25.  Volunteers would be very much appreciated, especially because
Len might be recovering from surgery.  He said that a couple of weeks ago,
he and his family were in New Brunswick's Fundy Park, and found a net like
our Professional Loafers net that was just closing down.

 

Barry reported that he and Theresa were in to see Mel, VE3ACD, who is
recovering from a bleeding ulcer, and would now like to have visitors.

 

Technical.  Rick, IQZ reported that our Echolink has had several users, both
local and from places like New York and Tennessee.

 

New Business.  Dave said that initially, VE3TJR was installed in his
basement.  IQZ, JLW, and VXT will be looking for a permanent place for it,
perhaps in Selwin Township.

 

Devon, VE3DEV offered to organize the Christmas dinner.  Everyone was happy
with the Carousel.  We should book for 60, and we can back off if we need
to.

 

Jerry, JLW moved that the meeting be adjourned at 8:00.  The seconder was
Keith, VA3HXC.
