[TxHam] Willow Island activation videos

Did you get to work Willow Island?

Several 10-second videos from Willow Island's first activation yesterday Sep 5 2009 from 1400UTC to 2000UTC, as TX061L.  Videographer was Daryl KC5SLQ.

Island was qualified in about an hour and 5 minutes.

We made a little over 100 contacts, with several DX including Moscow Russia, Netherlands, Canada, and so on.

The video with us putting the vertical up, it is a wire vertical we put up with lashed bamboo that was growing on the island.
Most of the contacts were made with 100 watts on a Kenwood TS-570D, tractor battery for power, and OCF dipole horizontal in trees at around 20 ft.
