[TVI-RFI-EMI] RFI problem

I have my low pass Nye filter in line AFTER my amp.  In other words between
the amp and antenna. I've had it this way for years, but do create a lot of
RFI in the electronics in my home and maybe my neighbors.

A friend told me the low pass filter should be between the radio and the amp
to clean up the signal before it's amplified by the amplifier. I wonder what
the consensus of those on this reflector is ?
