This is our once-a-year terrific opportunity to increase the power of our
meager antennas and power output! The world (well, mostly the US) will be
eager to work all of us in Florida on SSB or CW (no FT8) and will crank up
the audio and strain to hear us. Just get on the air on 10, 15, 20, or 40
meters (no 80) and call CQ on these frequencies:

CW: 7.025-7.055, 14.025-14.055, 21.025-21.055, 28.025-28.055 MHz

Phone: 7.185-7.285, 14.225-14.325, 21.300-21.400, 28.400-28.500 MHz

Send CQ FQP <callsign>/<county abbreviation>. E.g., CQ FQP K2PS/SUM. County
abbreviations for us are Sumter (SUM), Marion (MAO), Lake (LAK). Just
exchange 59(9) and the county abbreviation and have fun. Non-Florida
stations will send 59(9) and their state or DX prefix.

But DON'T call CQ in the mobile windows (these are reserved for weaker
mobile stations):

CW: 7.025-7.035, 14.040-14.050, 21.040-21.050, 28.040-28.050 MHz

which is where (hopefully) you'll find K2PS! Tom, K3WT, and I will be
driving around the Sunshine State in a planned 30 counties, Saturday (noon
until 10p), Sunday (8a to 6p). You'll be able to work us (we'll be on CW
only) once in every county from which we transmit. Generally, you may work
stations once on each mode, each band, each county.

Once you work us, look at the same frequency as the day goes on, and you can
expect to find us there. Since skip will make it difficult to hear us, try
and look for us as we start or end the journey in Sumter (SUM), Marion
(MAO), and Lake (LAK) counties. When we are farther away it will get more
difficult to hear one another.

Here are the official rules: https://floridaqsoparty.org/

Hope to work many of you this weekend!

73, Pete, K2PS
