TVARC members,

POTA (Parks On The Air) will be the topic of the program at our November
club meeting (Thursday Nov 20).

Kym (KQ4ZOA), Tom (K3WT), Dennis (N0SMX), Mike (KM4ZTE) and I will each give
a brief presentation on a

POTA topic. Sounds interesting, right?

But wait, there's more. On Friday, Nov 21, the day after the club meeting,
Mike, Dennis and I will host a POTA get together

at a nearby park. The park is the Lake Panasoffkee State Conservation Area,
which is located just off State Route 44, about

2.5 miles west of the I-75 interchange in Wildwood. There is a very nice,
covered pavilion in the park with about 10 picnic tables.

Bring your POTA gear to set up and activate the park (US-5670). Mike,
Dennis and I plan to set up our POTA stations to demo them

and to earn another activation. It will be way cool if some of you bring
your POTA stations out and set them up also. Please. We

all would like to see how you POTA.

Bring some water for yourself. No food or water will be provided.

There are bathrooms next to the pavilion. They are not fancy, but they are
better than Porta Potties.

Plan on showing up around 9:00AM.

A map to the park is attached, but here are directions:

*	Drive West on State Route 44
*	Pass under I-75 to continue West on 44 for about 2.5 miles
*	Turn LEFT into the park. There is a turn lane. A short distance
before the turn there is a sign for the park on the right shoulder of 44.
*	There is a long dirt driveway into the park back to the pavilion.
Keep going until you see us!

Oh, the park actually has an address for your GPS APP: 7519 NW 18th Way,
Wildwood.

Please let me know if you plan to attend.

73,

George K2DM
