Makes sense to me - I know the Navy only teaches CW as a back up - perhaps
they should reinstate basic CW training.
If not, I suppose they could start conscripting some of us old cw ops.

If WWIII becomes a reality, the thinking is that communications satellites
and cell systems will be attacked and crippled first tossing all combatants
back to the use of Morse Code on HF, or maybe back further yet to Sam's
telegraph, or even the Pony Express might need to be recalled.
