Please read
If you’re try to work FT8WW
No sense in calling him if you’re not decoding him.

FT8WW is now operating from Crozet, the #3 most needed entity. He has been
coming up on 10131kHz FT8 in using the MSHV software and is Tx on the odd
sequence, ie 15/45, not the even sequence of 00/30. Big deal? Kinda.

The problem is that many of the chasers are setting up WSJT-X in the Fox
and Hound mode. In that mode, you can only TX on the 15/45 odd sequence as
the Hound. It is difficult to understand why guys continue to call FT8WW in
this set up when they obviously are not copying him since he is also TX on
the 15/45 odd sequence!

For those not familiar with MSHV, you MUST NOT be in the F/H mode when the
DX is TX during the odd 15/45 sequence. Switch to regular FT-8 and, in this
case, make sure you check the "TX Even/ 1st" box on the main dashboard.
Also, since MSHV is not F/H, you can indeed TX below 1000Hz. Just make
certain you are not close to, or on top of, the DX. Of course, if the DX is
in true F/H mode, then you MUST TX above 1000Hz or the DX will simply not
even see you.

Good Luck chasing FT8WW. For us in W0, when FT8WW is on 20m (14085) around
14 or 15z, you may find he is LP. He has been very workable both on 30 and
20m thus far.
