John,

You can launch WSJT-X from within N1MM+. Logging is transparent, and with a particular parameter set, it is in fact automatic. You do NOT need JTAlert, since N1MM+ will do all the dupe checking for you as you go.

Here are some links that will help with the setup.

https://n1mmwp.hamdocs.com/manual-windows/wsjt-x-decode-list-window/

and https://www.rttycontesting.com/tutorials/n1mm/operating-ww-digi-with-n1mm/

When you setup N1MM+ for Field Day, there is a setting initially in the contest setup that will show all the modes available, so simply by changing modes in N1MM+ the WSJT-X window will close and the appropriate macro file will be imported so all the function keys will work correctly whether you are running FT-8, SSB, or CW. Everything will be logged directly into N1MM+ so there is no worries about importing from one to another. Like Mark indicated (with N3FJP) in the other thread, N1MM+ works great networked with multiple operators as well. See George/K2DM or Frank/KA1AF for assistance in setting this up. This way, you and Jeanette can work simultaneously on your own individual rigs, and PCs, and will be updating the same log in real time.

There is also a new ARRL contesting forum that is overflowing with Field Day questions and answers.

George, Rich, et.al.

Ms. J and I may do a multi-op for Field Day.

Now, when running WSJT, how does one get

that log into N1MM so we can have one

Cabrillo formatted log to submit?

We will have SSB QSO's in addition to FT-8.

We have N3FJP's "AC Log" and we are

also using JT Alerts.

When running WSJT, at the conclusion of

each contact, a window pops up and we click

"log it." That logs it into the WSJT log files and assuming we have JT Alerts running, it will automatically log it into N3FJP.

I was wondering if we could select the FT-8

contest contacts from N3FJP, save it to a file

and import that ADI file into N1MM.

Since N1MM has a CW/SSB/Digital category,

that seems like a rather cumbersome way to

do it? I question whether it would work properly.

It also assumes that all entrants will have something akin to N3FJP & JT Alerts. Thats

doing a lot of assuming.

There's got to be a better way to do this!

Any ideas?

John, NP2B
