[TVARC] Lake County (Florida) Issues Curfew Order

Hi,

FYI, Lake County in Florida issued a curfew order effective May 31, 2020.
This curfew is from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. until it’s lifted sometime in the
future.

Lake County curfew in effect until further notice

*RELEASE DATE: May 31, 2020*

*Tavares* – A curfew will be in effect from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. starting
this evening until lifted. The curfew applies to all unincorporated and
incorporated areas of Lake County except where a municipal curfew, which is
more strict, has been placed in effect by a municipality.

“We stand with those peacefully protesting the tragic death of George Floyd
and we fully support the rights of our citizens to express their outrage
over this situation,” said Lake County Commission Chairman Leslie Campione.
“But we condemn vandalism, violence and lawlessness that is causing great
harm to communities across our country. To protect our citizens, businesses
and first responders, we are imposing a curfew throughout Lake County which
starts tonight at 10 p.m. and ends at 5 a.m. until such time as the curfew
is lifted.”
