[TVARC] 2020 Atlantic Hurricane Season Starts Today

Hi Members of TVARC’s Maillist (especially those of you living in Hurricane
prone areas),

This is a reminder that the “2020 Hurricane Season” starts today (June 1,
2020) and runs through November 30, 2020.  Remember this season is based on
historical data and that hurricanes can happen outside this
statistically-based season.

The ongoing COVID-19 (Coronavirus) will add immensely to the difficulty
that emergency planners will encounter as they prepare for this year’s
hurricane season.

So, now’s the time to dust off your emergency plans and preparations
checklist, including your ham radio setup, if any, for emergencies.  Of
course, the upcoming ARRL Field Day 2020 event will provide a great way to
test your emergency amateur radio setup.
