[TVARC] ft-8 wisdom file

Hi John,

 

Since the full name of the file is jt9_wisdom.dat, I would surmise that it applies only to JT9, which I believe is an HF offshoot of JT65, an EME mode.  The size on my PC is just 27KB, so pretty tiny, and it’s just text (which you can look at – but it is pretty cryptic).

The WSJT program generates and appends 

 several files as it operates.  One is a database 

(ADI) file, one is a text (TXT) and one is a "wisdom" 

file. Can anyone tell me what the wisdom file is and 

is it crucial to the operation of the program? I don't 

think it has anything to do with configuration.
