Food for thought.  Setting up for digital modes basically uses the computer internal sound card to generate the signal transmitted as a USB signal. Does anyone know what happens if your computer generates an internal sound notification, for some other computer function, during a transmission???
Is it possible that the sound notification temporarily corrupts the intended audio being transmitted????
I am not sure if the sound card is dedicated 100% to your ham software (WSJT-X for example).
