[TVARC] TVARC: My Digital Dilemma Resolved! (IC-706<=>SignaLink<=>WSJT-X WORKS NOW)

 Hi Members of TVARC's MailList (especially those interested in digital
interfacing their ICOM IC-706MKIIG with WSJT-X using a SignaLinkUSB),

My thanks to those of you who graciously responded with hints, tips and
insights to help me solve my recent digital dilemma.  The input from Cal
(WA3CTZ), John (NP2B), George (K2DM), Dennis (N0SMX) were helpful and
greatly appreciated.  The suggested settings from Hal (W4OE) RESOLVED my
problem. I am happy to report that Hal's settings got my vintage ICOM
IC-706MKIIG successfully working with the SignaLinkUSB and WSJT-X!
YIPPEE!!! 😀

It's one of the real benefits and outstanding characteristics of our
amateur radio club that so many of TVARC's members are willing to help
others resolve their ham related problems.

In case others need to get their IC-706 rigs working with the SignaLink
hardware and WSJT-X software, I've provided an overview below of my
configuration.  In addition, I've attached a screen shot from WSJT-X
showing the settings (under the "Radio" tab) that worked for my
configuration (again, thanks to Hal/W4OE). [In this attached screenshot,
IGNORE the red-colored "Test CAT" button.  It's red because I took this
screen capture without having the IC-706 turned on; so, of course, WSJT-X
could not talk to it via CAT (hence the red colored button).]
