Hi Members of TVARC's Maillist,

My "brag" appears below showing my results from the ARRL's VHF (June)
Contest, which was was held over the weekend. For this contest, I only
operated on six (6) meters (50 MHz) and only on Sunday evening (June 10,
2018).

Conditions appeared to be very poor on 6 meters (often nicknamed "The Magic
Band") when I first started my "search & pounce" contest operation.
However, later in the evening the band lived-up to its nickname and came
alive! It was open to many places throughout the USA. I especially heard
and worked stations in the Northeast section of the country (New England,
Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New England, etc.). Even when the band
opened up, conditions were a bit dicey as signals would be strong (S7 to
S9) during 1 transmission & then plummet into my noise level on the next
transmission.

As far as other TVARC members, I worked K2PS (Pete). I heard NP2B (John) &
KB8SB (Sam) several times.

Overall, the band opening on Sunday evening made it a fun VHF contest to
work. See you all on "The Magic Band" for the next VHF contest.
