That must have been CT9/OM3GI from Madeira Island. I remember him. My decoder actually did pretty good.
I am not sure it is just “coffee” that causes bad CW during the contests :)
I do remember many high speed senders (well over 40wpm) where they sent and sent and could not get replies. The number of people that can copy that level is small.
And decoders tend to fall apart if the spacings are not quite right.

In any case, if it was not for fldigi, I could not have participated. I am sure that fldigi is not the only program but it worked for me.
Now I need to figure out PSK, BPSK, RTTY, Olivia etc etc. Having fun!!
