[Tube-Swap] 8163 vs 3-400z

Hello Group, have owned an older Hunter Bandit 2000C for some time, second one I owned actually.  It comes with a pair of Amperex 8163, however, Ive been running a single 3-400z in it with no problems, as well as a single 3-500z.  My question, Ive tried running 2 of the 3-400z but get some high resting plate current for some reason. This does not occur with the 8163's and the 3-400z's run by themselves do not run the resting plate high.  So, does anyone know why this would be so?  the current is about 100 ma, maybe a bit less, hard to tell on the meter exactly, causes the plates on the pair of 3-400z to run alittle orangish.  73  Tim K8WBL
