The only pro to an analog scanner **should be** cost... they should be
cheaper.  Everything else leans in favor of digital.  Digital can do
analog, but analog can't do digital.  While your local jurisdiction
**might** not be digital, I would find it very hard to believe that you are
not already within receiving range of a digital system (if you're in the US
of A).
