[TrunkCom] New address

As a result of selling off my old domain of dataguardian.com, I hereby
return to and re-introduce myself to this list from the above address,
one which I doubt very seriously anyone but me would wish to own.

I'm an old-timer scanner enthusiast, back from the old days of the
four-channel, crystal-controlled (we used to call them rock-bound)
handhelds of the 70's, now deeply entrenched in trunking machines that
have nearly as much computing and processing power as what sent us to
the moon 42 years ago. How tempest has its way of fugiting, eh?

I'm interested primarily in seeing some of the new encodings like
D-Star and Motorola Turbo, others, becoming standard parts of scanners
in the near future. As we move further along into software-defined
radios, this and other things, like voice readouts of scanner displays
for visually impaired operators, should become more possible, not to
mention common. If they can do it with handheld ham rigs, why not
scanners? Someone will do it, I just hope it's sooner rather than
later. If anybody knows of anyone working on these developments
looking for testers, either alpha, beta, or whatever, please add me to
that list.

To the maintainers of this list, thanks for having it, and for having
me on it.
